  1. Open the server configuration dialog with Specialize > LemonTree.Connect Polarion > Configure Polarion Server Settings.
  2. Enable via the checkbox left of "Allow Export to Document"
  3. Optionally fill the "Workflow Action" fields with document workflow actions IDs. Further details below

Enable document export

Minimum Polarion user permissions to allow exporting to documents have to be configured in Polarion.

Polarion User Permissions

To select a target document start an export at an EA package which has not been configured for export or import before. Right-click the package in the project browser (not a model root) and select Specialize > LemonTree.Connect Polarion > Export to Polarion

Note

If you want to configure a package which was already used for export before, delete the relevant tags.

Package Tags

Now you will see that in the package configuration dialog the options to select a space and document are available.

Package Dialog

On export all elements contained in the cofigured package and matching a mapping rule of the selected mapping xml will be placed inside the selected document according to their hierarchy in EA.

WorkItems which are part of the document in Polarion but are not in the export scope of the selected packgage will be removed from the document.

Warning

Utilizing Delete Detection while exporting into a document is not supported.

Changing a Documents status on export

The fields "Start Action Id" and "Stop Action Id" found in the server settings dialog can be used to trigger Status field transitions configured in the Polarion projects document workflow.

For field "Start Action Id" use an action ID configured to change the documents status it has at export start.

For field "Stop Action Id" use an action ID configured to change the status the document gets after the start action is executed.

A valid example for the workflow configuration seen in the screenshot below would be Start Action Id: publish and Stop Action Id: rework
