Using LemonTree when working with Enterprise Architect Version Control

Enterprise Architect Models can be configured to use various version control systems as a central repository for storing parts of the model. This allows for collaborative editing of the model.

For more details, see the official guide from Sparx Systems: https://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/15.2/model_repositories/create_a_subversion_environmen.html

This system stores Enterprise Architect Model Packages in its own proprietary xml format - which is identical to the result of an XMI Export of the packages in question.

Currently, there is no way to utilize LemonTree in such a setup - particularly because LemonTree is currently also unable to merge this version control information correctly.

Please note that there is currently a known issue with LemonTree that causes it to incompletely transfer the version control information during merging. This means that the version control integration may not correctly work in the merged model!

As such, we advise against merging models that utilize the integrated Enterprise Architect version control.
